He has enjoyed a brilliant career as a broadcast journalist, lighting up the screen for Channel Nine for over 40 years.
But veteran Channel Nine presenter Tracy Grimshaw looks unrecognizable in new unearthed images taken from her pageant days.
The clip shows Tracy, then 18 years old, participating in the 1979 Miss Teen Quest.
Wearing a long white dress and matching gloves, Tracy had long, shiny brown locks and a heavy application of makeup.
While making her grand entrance and strutting down a runway, Tracy was described by a beauty pageant host as a college graduate with a passion for fitness and animals.

The clip shows Tracy, then 18 years old, participating in the 1979 Miss Teen Quest.
“She is a student at La Trobe University and her hobbies are cycling and animals,” the host explained.
After her pageant days, Tracy made her foray into journalism.
She began her career at Nine in 1981 as a news reporter. She later hosted Today with Steve Liebmann from 1996 to 2005.
Karl Stefanovic replaced Steve in 2005 and soon after Tracy left to host A Current Affair and was replaced on Today by Jessica Rowe.
Of course, the woman in the extraordinary video is none other than veteran Channel Nine presenter Tracy Grimshaw.
Tracy looked glamorous in a white maxi dress and matching gloves as she walked the runway.
In December, Tracy said goodbye to A Current Affair after 17 years at the helm.
She said goodbye to her audience in an emotional performance before being greeted with applause, hugs and well wishes from her Nine colleagues.
This was followed by speeches from Darren Wick, Nine’s news and current affairs director, and Tom Malone, radio general manager.
