You can tell how big a man’s penis is by looking at his hands… but not how you think
- NHS surgeon Dr Rajan shared the advice in a TikTok video watched by 915,000 people
- He suggests that the shorter a man’s index finger is, the larger a man’s penis is
You know what they say about men with big feet?
Try looking at their index finger instead.
A man’s hand can reveal more about what he’s hiding under his pants than you might expect, a medic claims.
According to NHS surgeon Dr Karan Rajan, the shorter a man’s index finger is against his ring finger, the larger his penis.
Dropping the reveal on TikTok, in a video that has more than 915,000 views, he said, “This is known as the second to fourth digit ratio, calculated by dividing the length of the index finger by the length of the ring finger.
According to NHS surgeon Dr Karan Rajan, the shorter a man’s index finger is against his ring finger, the bigger his penis
Dropping the reveal on TikTok, in a video that has more than 915,000 views, he said, “This is known as the second to fourth digit ratio, calculated by dividing the length of the index finger by the length of the ring finger.”
He added, “The smaller the index finger, the lower the 2D:4D ratio.
A smaller ratio of numbers indicates a high exposure to testosterone in the womb.
“According to the study, testosterone not only determines future penis length, but also future finger length.”
But this is not a ‘hard and fast rule’, explains Dr Rajan, who lives in Dorset.
“It’s an interesting study, but certainly not a rule book,” he added.
A 2011 study by Korean researchers compared the finger length difference of 144 men and measured it against the length of their penises when it was flaccid and stretched. They found that the 2D:4D ratio “can predict adult penis size.”
Only the fingers on the right hand were measured in the study, as researchers claim that “there are numerous reports that the differences between the sexes in digit ratio are greater on the right hand than on the left.”
Write in the Asian journal of andrologythey also said that ‘the right hand may be more sensitive to the influence of testosterone’.
But hands aren’t the only body part that has been linked to a man’s height.
In support of the “big nose, big snake” theory, a scientific study found that men with bigger noses have longer penises.
Japanese researchers found last month that men with the largest noses had an ‘extended penis length’ of 13.4 cm on average.
Those with smaller noses had penises measuring 10.4 cm or four inches.
Nothing will make a man’s penis bigger or smaller, according to the NHS.
