Earlier this month, Valve announced it would be launching a new one limited edition Steam Deck OLED. The $679 handheld has the same hardware and specs as last year’s transparent 1TB model, but with a matte white finish. It is currently available for pre-order from Valve, while supplies last.
Purchases of the new Steam Deck are limited to one per Steam account, and in case you’re thinking about creating some spoof accounts, Valve also mentioned that the account must have a valid Steam purchase by November 2024 done to buy one. Although quantities are limited, inventory will be distributed proportionally across all Steam Deck shipping regions.
Like Valve’s transparent limited edition from last year, this version has an orange power button, but a matte white shell with slate gray accents on the triggers, buttons and thumbsticks. The limited edition OLED also comes with an exclusive white carrying case and a microfiber cleaning cloth. Aside from the aesthetic differences, this version of the Steam Deck OLED is identical to the standard, 1TB model that goes for $649.
