Yellowstone’s Kayce Dutton nearly had a long-lost BROTHER – and you won’t believe who was slated to play him before show ends
It is known that Yellowstone will end and season 5 will begin in late 2024.
And now it's been revealed that the cast might add some more star power before reaching the conclusion.
In fact, the role would undoubtedly be great, as it would supposedly be the “long-lost brother” of Luke Grimes' character Kayce Dutton.
Not only would the role have been huge in the Yellowstone universe, but it would also have been played by a major star in country music.

Cory Asbury revealed that he would play Kayce's sibling in a possible sixth season of the CBS series.
However, this came before news broke that season five would be the last following the departure of lead actor Kevin Costner.
Cory, 38, told Taste Of Country during an Instagram Live Q&A with podcast host Adison Haager: “I was excited for it and bummed when it got canceled, so bummed.”
The Goodness Of God hitmaker even had plans to move his family – wife Anna and their children Gabriel, Lily, River and Willow-Grace – to Montana for a year so he could film.
He explained, “We were going to move to Montana for a whole year. We were ready, our family was ready.”
Cory said his wife “gave me permission and our kids said, 'Okay, cool, we're going to live in Montana.'
“Because they were like, 'Yeah, it's going to take a whole year of your life, you're going to have to cancel all your shows,' and I was like, yeah, okay, cool. Sounds good.'
Asbury revealed that he has never met the actor who plays his brother, nor the show's creator Taylor Sheridan and/or lead actor Costner.

He did say that the casting director told him that he and Sheridan both looked at Asbury's social media and thought he was “really cool” and a good fit for the role.
The Christian country crooner also said he was told he was asked not to share information about the potential character “but then it got canceled and I was like, 'Fuck this, I'm talking about it.'
Asbury once again expressed his disappointment at not being able to appear on the hit show, adding, “It's just sad. It's a sad reality.'

The final episodes of the highly popular CBS series starring Costner will air in November 2024, it was announced by Paramount on Thursday, November 2.
That news came just months after it was reported that the 68-year-old lead actor would be leaving the series in the first half of season 5.
Diehard Yellowstone fans got some good news, however, as Paramount has greenlit two new spinoff series.
One is called 1944 and the other is a contemporary series currently titled 2024.
There are already two spin-off series in the Yellowstone universe that are very popular, titled 1883 and 1923.
American filmmaker and actor Taylor Sheridan is the mastermind behind the franchise and spin-offs when Yellowstone first premiered in 2018 with Costner in the lead role of John Dutton.
