Yellowstone finale is ‘not what you think it’s gonna be’ says star Kelly Reilly but is ‘exciting’

Season five of Yellowstone comes to an end on Sunday.

And ahead of the big finale, Kelly Reilly, who plays the explosive Beth Dutton in the Paramount cowboy saga, has commented on what fans can expect.

“It’s not what you think it’s going to be, that’s what’s so exciting about it,” she said Entertainment weekly. ‘There is real poetry in it.’

British actress Kelly also said she “hopes it lands” as she wishes it goes over well with fans.

Many fans believe that Beth and her brother Kayce (played by Luke Grimes) will sell the Dutton Ranch to their Native American friends for cheap with the agreement to share it in a complicated tax system.

But now, after Kelly’s comments, it looks like it won’t be that simple.

Whatever happens, we know Beth and her husband Rip Wheeler, played by Cole Hauser, will survive, as a spin-off is coming out next year.

The Beth and Rip spin-off is on the way, Deadline announced on Wednesday.

And there will be several famous faces, the site reports, but does not mention any names.

By looking closely at season five, there are some good guesses as to who will be hired for Paramount’s new series.

One of them is Forrie J Smith, who plays cowboy Lloyd Pierce. He was asked by Rip to stay at the Dutton ranch during Season 5B.

Another is Carter, played by Finn Little. He plays Rip and Beth’s adopted son. Rip made it clear that the boy would still be working at Dutton Ranch no matter what.

One face that won’t be seen: Ryan Bingham, who plays cowboy Walker whose on-screen lover Laramie is played by his real-life wife Hassie Harrison.

In last week’s episode, he clearly stated that he would not stay in Montana, but would move back to Texas.

That seems to indicate that he and his lady would likely be in a 6666 spin-off that has long been talked about.

Walker said in a previous season that he worked at 6666 and should never have left because real cowboys worked there.

Also not in the cards is Jefferson White, who plays Jimmy, as he is firmly employed by the 6666 ranch called ‘the four sixes’.

Also not in the mix will be Sarah Atwood playing Dawn Olivieri because she was murdered by an assassin team.

And Colby, played by Denim Richards, won’t be seen because he was knocked out by a knight in 5B.

And Jamie Dutton, played by Wes Bentley, isn’t likely to be around as it’s suggested Beth will kill him in the December 15 finale.

But if he doesn’t die, he would be the perfect villain for Beth and Rip.

And if Jamie somehow sticks around, there seems to be a chance he’ll reunite with his baby mama Christine, played by Katherine Cunningham.

She was seen giving Jamie advice about 5B.

Others who could join Beth and Rip at the ranch include Luke Grimes, who plays Kayce Dutton (although he said this season that he wants to leave the ranch), and his wife Monica, played by Kelsey Absille.

Their son Tate, played by Breckin Merrill, would be a wise choice to add to the spin-off as he already has a bond with Beth and Rip’s son Carter, which was highlighted again in last week’s episode.

Jennifer Landon, who plays Teeter, may be returning, but she’s already spent time at ranch 6666 and may be headed for a spinoff.

Tribal Chairman Thomas Rainwater, played by Gil Birmingham – a longtime friend of creator Taylor Sheridan – would likely appear on the show. His faithful assistant Mo, played by Mo Brings Plenty, would also be a clever rescue

It would be smart to bring back Bella Hadid, who did a great job as the beautiful horse rider who dates Sheridan’s stubborn horse trainer

John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner, has no chance of being on the show

There may also be more from Evelyn Dutton, played by Gretchen Mol. She will likely be seen in flashback scenes as Beth’s mother.

And there’s a chance flashback scenes could feature a young John Dutton, played by Josh Lucas.
