Yazmin Oukhellou has revealed that she desperately tried to wake her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean after the horrific car accident in Turkey that killed him, but he didn’t respond.

In a raucous new interview, the 28-year-old TOWIE star said she was “torn with grief” over Jake and talked about the horrible trolls she got from people for moving on with her life.

Businessman Jake, 33, was killed instantly on July 3 when his blue Mercedes E-class sedan crashed down a mountain road into a ravine in Bodrum, Turkey, while Yazmin, who was in the passenger seat, was seriously injured.

Now Yazmin has revealed the details of that terrible day, describing her attempts to bring him around and her ensuing search for help.

She said The sun: “I tried to wake up Jake, but he didn’t wake up. I tried beeping with my foot on the receiver, but I couldn’t reach it.

“We were in the middle of nowhere and so screaming for help wasn’t good. I knew I had to get out of the car and somehow I found the strength to free my arm by lifting it with my left hand, moving my right arm up and dropping it back down again, for an eternity until I broke it loose.’

She then found a man on the road to help her, but when the paramedics arrived, Yazmin said she “knew in her gut he was gone.”

“They said they were taking him to another hospital and kept telling me he was alive and okay – I think because they didn’t want to cause me any more suffering,” she added.

Yazmin – who now suffers from PTSD, nightmares, flashbacks and panic attacks – went on to explain that she now wonders why she survived but he didn’t, saying she was upset that he was gone but that she was still there. used to be.

Yazmin is now receiving therapy for her anxiety, after initially thinking she would never get over it or be able to “not see what she saw.”

In the chat, Yazmin also addressed the trolls she has received since the crash, with many sending her terrible messages if they see her move forward.

She said she gets nasty comments when she’s on vacation or eating out, when in reality it’s “just because she’s smiling in a photo doesn’t mean she’s smiling inside.”

Jake was pronounced dead at the scene, while Yazmin was rushed to hospital, where she was treated for her injured arm.

After the crash, she scrambled through thick, thorny bushes to stop a passing motorist for help.

She has shared how she is still coping with post-traumatic stress after returning to the UK.

It is alleged that shortly before the accident, the couple had a heated argument at a nightclub, something Jake’s mother Anita Walsh told Turkish authorities she believed played a role in her son’s death.

This led to a bitter argument between Yazmin and Anita, who banned the reality star from Jake’s funeral in Essex last month.

Jake’s secret friend Chloe Hennessey, 27, a beauty therapist, was invited to the funeral and posted a series of touching photos of the couple on Instagram as a tribute to the man she “will love forever.”

Chloe wrote on Instagram to share a photo of her and Jake, saying, “What a beautiful day for a beautiful soul. So glad all the important people who should have been there showed up.

“So much laughter, crying and happy memories with all his loved ones. I hope you can rest completely in peace, fly high now Jakey. Love you forever, always in our hearts.’

On the day of Jake’s funeral, Yazmin broke her social media silence by writing, “I’ve taken some time off social media to focus fully on my mental and physical recovery.

“I needed this time to work on healing and to process everything as best I could.

“It taught me that life is so short and that we should cherish our loved ones as much as possible.

“I am so grateful for our memories and the special time Jake and I shared. I haven’t stopped thinking about him and I will always miss him. He will forever hold a special place in my heart.”
