According to manager Aaron Boone, the New York Yankees will decide on Monday whether outfielder Aaron Judge will be placed on the injured list.

Judge has been sidelined since leaving New York’s game against the Rangers on Thursday after the fourth inning with right hip pain.

“I know he came in and felt a little better today,” Boone said Sunday. “I’m sure he’ll go through everything, and we’ll evaluate where we stand.”

Boone also added that he expected Judge to miss the start of the series against the Cleveland Guardians, which begins Monday.

Before the injury, Judge was in the middle of another solid season with a slash of .261/.352/.511.

Harrison Bader has been out with an oblique injury

Giancarlo Stanton is on the IL with a hamstring strain

The Yankees already have outfielders Harrison Bader (L) and Giancarlo Stanton on the IL

If he misses time on the IL, it would hurt the Yankees for a number of reasons.

The Yankees started Sunday ranked 25th out of 30 teams in batting average.

They’ve also dealt with a long list of injuries, including fellow outfielders Giancarlo Stanton (left hamstring strain), Harrison Bader (left hypotenuse strain), and third baseman Josh Donaldson (right hamstring strain).

New York also has six different pitchers dealing with injuries.

However, the team hopes to get outfielder Jake Bauers back soon after he was added to its 26-man roster this weekend.

“I walk pretty well, pain-free,” Bauers said.

“The only thing limiting my range of motion is the swelling, so I’m sure today we’ll try to get all of that out.”
