Yankees captain Aaron Judge left New York’s game against the Rangers in the fourth inning due to a hip injury.
The slugger was taken out of the game in the bottom of the fourth for “right hip discomfort,” with Oswaldo Cabrera coming forward to take his place in right field.
The removal came just days after the AL home run record holder suffered an injury after slamming his right hand into third base during Wednesday’s game against the Minnesota Twins.
Judge appeared to grin awkwardly after striking out his second at bat in the second inning and was removed just two innings later.
Judge had stayed in the game on Wednesday after being checked out by a trainer following his awkward head-first slide.

Judge surprisingly tried to get third while Anthony Rizzo was batting for New York.
He appeared to land awkwardly on his right hand trying to steal third base during the second inning.
Referees ultimately ruled that he was not there in time for the 2022 AL MVP to be back on his feet immediately after the game.
He immediately ran through the tunnel while appearing to hold onto his right arm, scaring Yankees fans and teammates.
It comes a day after he suffered an injury following an awkward slide that trapped his hand
Before Thursday’s game, Judge said the hand felt “good,” and manager Aaron Boone said the trainers had given the six-foot-tall slugger everything in the clear.
“I’ve considered giving him a day [off] today, and I might in this series, but after talking it over with him and the trainers and when he was fine today, I feel good about that,” Boone said.
The game against Texas marked the 31-year-old’s return to the Globe Life Field, where he hit his record-breaking 62nd home run last season.
After hitting an American League-record 62 homers last season to break Roger Maris’ 61-year record, Judge hits .261 this season with six homers and 14 RBI in 26 games.
