Luis Severino admits he’s “not doing his job” after giving up SEVEN runs against the Orioles in a blowout loss — the worst stretch for a Yankees pitcher in a DECADE
Yankees pitcher Luis Severino endured another brutal outing Thursday night as New York lost 14-1 at home to the Orioles.
The right hand gave up a solo home run to Gunnar Henderson in the first inning and that set the tone for his (short) night, as he gave up seven earned runs to Baltimore.
Severino got through the second inning but didn’t complete the third, as he allowed six more runs in that frame.
After the game, he refused to blame his struggles for tipping his pitches, as he produced the worst seven-game stretch for a Yankees pitcher in a decade.
‘There’s been something [tipping pitches]…but it’s inconsistent,” he said. “I guess it’s not the fault. I’m just not doing my job right now.’
