Yankees’ Domingo German and Luis Severino’s homes ‘were burgled with around $320k of items stolen’

Yankees pitchers Domingo German and Luis Severino’s Tampa homes ‘were burglarized with items worth about $320,000 stolen’ while playing in New York

According to a report last year in New York, both Domingo German and Luis Severino had their homes broken into.

Citing a document from Hillsborough County (FL.), the Tampa Bay Times reports the burglaries occurred on the same day as the Yankees’ home games.

The crimes reportedly took place at German’s home in Thonotosassa on August 19, 2022 just before 5 a.m. and on June 1 and 3, 2022 at Severino’s residence in Tarpon Springs.

“Several purses and watches worth approximately $20,000” were taken from the Thonotosassa home, according to the affidavit cited by the Times.

The suspected burglars were reportedly seen wearing hoods, masks and gloves on surveillance footage before fleeing the scene in a Penske rental car.

Severino’s home in Tarpon Springs was burglarized earlier in June, according to the Times

It was described as “similar to another residential burglary,” specifically at Severino’s home, according to Hillsborough police.

More than $300,000 was stolen from the home of old Yankee, Severino.

Both pitchers have been with the Bronx Bombers for several seasons. German started with the Yankees in 2017.

The 29-year-old Severino has also only played for the Yanks, making his debut in the 2017 MLB season.

New York has started the 2023 season strong, rising to a 4-2 start ahead of a three-game series in Baltimore that begins Friday afternoon.
