Yagoona crash: Two men lucky to be alive after $400,000 McLaren rental collides with Toyota in horror smash
Two men have miraculously survived a horror attack involving a $400,000 McLaren rental car and a Toyota hatchback in Sydney’s south-west.
The luxury sports car, listed on several car rental sites, collided with the Toyota on the Hume Highway near Yagoona at around 1am on Saturday.
The impact of the crash caused the black McLaren to spin into the stone fence of a nearby property, where it eventually came to a stop.
Frightened residents compared the sound of the crash to a loud ‘boom’.
Footage showed the wrecked McLaren being towed from the scene with debris, car parts and glass still strewn across the busy highway.

The luxury sports car, listed on several car sites, collided with the Toyota on the Hume Highway near Yagoona at around 1am on Saturday.
The passenger side of the McLaren suffered extensive damage.
NSW Police said three vehicles were involved in the crash, with none of the passengers or drivers seriously injured.
“Around 1am (Saturday 9 September 2023), emergency services were called to the Hume Highway near Yagoona following reports of a multi-vehicle crash,” a spokesperson said in a statement.
‘The accident involved three vehicles; However, all occupants of the vehicles escaped injury.
“Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command attended.”
