Xu Yitong: Aussie student alleges she was raped by a butler in a Ritz-Carlton resort in the Maldives

An Australian student claims she was raped by a butler at the Ritz-Carlton resort in the Maldives.

Xu Yitong, 26, a student at the University of Sydney, booked a room at the luxury hotel on June 10 where rooms cost $3,000 a night while on a solo trip to the idyllic holiday destination.

Ms Xu – who has given her written consent to Daily Mail Australia to be identified – said she was given a butler who showed her the room and explained the hotel’s facilities.

Later that day, Mrs. Xu accidentally broke her phone by splashing water on it.

The holidaymaker, who is of Chinese descent but has studied in Sydney for five years, had called reception for help when she couldn’t reach her family on the room phone.

The front desk then sent her butler to the room to provide assistance.

“He came and he let me use my SIM in his phone and talk to my mother,” Ms. Xu said.

He then sat down on the bed and started chatting with me. ‘Why did you come alone, where do you live, etc.’

Ms. Xu said she was starting to feel uncomfortable, so she tried to change the subject, but the butler kept asking.

“He took a gum and started chewing and asked me if I wanted to kiss, which made me numb,” she said.

‘I was blank. I said “no, I don’t like physical contact”. I took my computer and translated it to him in case he didn’t understand.”

Ms. Xu claims the butler then tried to force her mouth open with his tongue before asking if she was gay because she wouldn’t let him.

“He started sticking his tongue in my mouth and said, ‘I’ll be a gentleman,'” she explained.

He then pushed me to bed and started taking off his pants and he put his penis in my mouth twice.

“He then went ahead and touched my genitals and tried (to have sex). I forced and tried to stop him, but he wouldn’t.’

Mrs. Xu managed to escape and wrapped herself in a duvet.

The butler then reportedly ejaculated on her computer screen, which he wiped with a towel.

Before leaving, he allegedly told the terrified victim that she just “needed time to open up” and that he would be back.

Ms. Xu said she immediately reported the incident to the hotel.

But they “made it look like nothing” and tried to confiscate the laptop and semen-stained towel from her room before requesting the police to come to the scene.

“The police came and took my statement,” she said.

“They took samples from my mouth and told me it would take a week to get the results and I had to leave before the results came.”

She also underwent a medical examination and took pictures of the bruises and scratches on her body.

Ms. Xu filed a complaint under “criminal sexual contact” with the local police station the next day, but said the officers were unhelpful.

She claims the officers told her they “had no reason to arrest him yet.”

Ms. Xu claims the hotel asked her to leave and even accused her of fabricating the complaint to “get a free stay.”

“I left the hotel and there wasn’t even an apology,” she said.

“You (Ritz-Carlton) train your housekeepers only to ask for tips. I was raped in your hotel and you did nothing.’
