Several European retail listings for the Xiaomi Watch 2 have been spotted online, even though the company has yet to unveil a new mid-range wearable.
Technical news site GSMArena discovered multiple product pages for the device on four merchant sites, such as the Finnish platform Kesikisen Kello Oy. Navigating these pages can be tricky if you don’t speak the language they’re in, but luckily industry insider Arsène Lupine (no relation to the gentleman thief) can posted a translation on their X account (the platform formerly known as Twitter).
There it is revealed that the Xiaomi Watch 2 will have a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. The dial measures 47.6 x 45.9 (11.8 mm) with a case made of aluminum alloy. It is powered by a Snapdragon W5 Plus Gen 1 running on Google’s WearOS. As a result, several Google apps come pre-installed; namely Google Wallet, Google Maps and a portal to the Play Store.

Functions
In terms of features, Xiaomi’s upcoming device will have a wide range of sensors to track your sleeping habits, measure your heart rate and monitor the oxygen level in your blood. An independent GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) is on board to support the navigation capabilities. Other notable features include 65 hours of battery life, remote shooting, and 5ATM (atmosphere) water resistance. This means that the watch can survive splashes of water and short immersion.
Everything mentioned so far is identical to what you can find on the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro. There are a few differences, although it’s nothing major. As GSMArena notes, the midrange supports Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi and NFC connection standards, but lacks LTE connectivity. That remains with the Pro model. Also, their respective cases are made of different metals. The casing of the Xiaomi Watch 2 is, as mentioned earlier, made of aluminum, while the casing of the Watch 2 Pro is made of stainless steel.
Confusing prices
When you look at prices, things get confused because all discovered product listings have different numbers. It depends on the country. WinFuture the reporting states that prices vary between € 199.99 and € 219.99. However, we found that Mobileonline, a Slovakian trading platform, has the Watch 2 on sale for €181.40. It’s hard to say what the official price will be until we get official word from Xiaomi.
Either way, it’s probably safe to say that the Xiaomi Watch 2 will be significantly cheaper than the Pixel Watch 2, which has a starting price of €399. Additionally, this could give people in Finland and Slovakia the chance to own a next-generation WearOS smartwatch. Google does not sell the Pixel Watch 2 in all European countries; just a handful.
It’s unknown when Xiaomi will make a formal announcement about its wearable, but with several listings still active at the time of this writing, it should be imminent.
