Xavi signs Barcelona contract extension until 2025 with option of an additional year after leading the Catalan giants to LaLiga title last season
Xavi has signed a new contract with Barcelona until 2025, the club has confirmed.
His deal with the Catalan giants includes an option for an extra year on top.
The Barcelona legend took charge in November 2021 and led them to the LaLiga title last season.
After 24 years as a player with them and his football brain surpassing most of his generation, he always seemed destined to play at Camp Nou.
Earlier today, Xavi spoke about the upcoming announcement, saying: ‘The extension has been agreed for days.
‘We found ourselves in a very difficult time, with very difficult sporting, economic and psychological circumstances.
Xavi has signed a new contract with Barcelona until 2025, the club has announced
‘We have worked very well from the chairmanship to the sports management (department). It is a process of building up and training, but we compete and play good matches.
‘This should be the season of confirmation in terms of play and results. Personally, I have a lot of confidence in it. I feel strong in that respect. The staff is grateful and the players are having a good time. We are on the right track, but we cannot stop being humble.”
