X is now using your messages (and more) to train his Grok AI, but there’s something you can do about it

X (formerly Twitter) believes it has sidestepped some of the problems other social media companies, such as Meta, have faced when training its AI, Grok, with user data and information. But there is something you can do about it.

X quietly added a setting that allows your messages, interactions, input, and results to be used to train and fine-tune Grok. X now has a checkbox in the app’s settings that is checked by default, and the setting’s disclaimer also notes that your user data may be shared with Grok’s service provider, xAI.
