Chico previously fell out with The X Factor aftercare, claiming the show ‘uses and abuses’ aspiring singers.
The former goat herder said that while the show gave him a “platform” to do other things, he believes singers are “naive” if they think they would have a long career in the music industry.
He explained: ‘It gave me the opportunity to earn a good living. I’ve been all over the country entertaining the masses, so much has come from that.
“I can’t complain because I knew what it was again, they are using you, or abusing you, and you are using that platform to continue.”
Then he exclaimed, “They don’t care about you. You are a commodity, you are only as good as the money you will make from it. That is it.’
“You’re completely replaceable and like I said, it’s an assembly line. if you’re not going to do it, someone else will take your place to do it.”
An X Factor spokesperson told MailOnline at the time: ‘Duty of care to our contestants is of the utmost importance to us. We take wellbeing very seriously and have put measures in place to ensure it is supported.”
Since finding fame on X Factor, Chico has set up wellness retreats in Bali, Croatia and Portugal.
