Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino doubled down on Elon Musk’s “go f**k yourself” message to advertisers who pull or threaten to withdraw their money from the platform in a protest against fears of hate speech.
Musk has been criticized for loosening Twitter’s grip on what some consider hate speech, and has even been accused of fueling anti-Semitism on the site by not cracking down on certain accounts.
It’s part of his original strategy for the platform: to do away with heavy-handed surveillance and allow users to share their own thoughts without interference from typically left-wing big tech.
Yaccarino – who previously tried to temper criticism of Musk by emphasizing X’s position that he does not condone any form of hatred or anti-Semitism – now stands by his latest comments.

Musk took him firmly to task, telling Deal Book host Andrew Sorokin: “What if someone is going to try to blackmail me with ads? Blackmail me with money? Go fuck yourself.
“Go fuck yourself, is that clear? Hey Bob, if you’re in the audience. That’s how I think about it, don’t advertise.’
He apologized for his controversial support of a user who claimed that Jews have “promoted exactly the kind of dialectical hatred against white people that they claim they want people to stop using against them.”
Musk endorsed the user’s perspective, tweeting, “You said the actual truth.”
On Deal Book last night he said his comment was “silly.”
He visited Israel earlier this week in an attempt to smooth things over.
