Footage captured the moment when a man allegedly opened fire on officers with up to 226 bullets from two rifles, a court has heard.
Police were trapped in the alleged gunfight with Bradley Jason Mark White, 42, on Cutler Drive in Wyong, on the NSW Central Coast, on March 17, 2020.
White has since been charged and the police bodycam video of the encounter was released Friday by the NSW Supreme Court.

The court was told that White allegedly started shooting at his neighbor’s house, killing 20-year-old Byron Tonks and wounding two others.
The court heard White disliked a 17-year-old teenager who lived across the street from him and complained about his ute and loud subwoofer speakers.
He reportedly set the ute on fire and brandished a makeshift spear with a machete attached, the court heard.

Footage played in court showed senior officer Darren Hunt crouching behind a police car and holding his gun as police responded to the incident.
Loud bangs are heard in the footage and Hunt tells the court that he allegedly fired bullets at White at a house across the street.
“Oh shit, he’s aiming this way,” Hunt says in the footage shown to the court.
More footage released by the court showed police trying to rescue three injured people from the back of a house.
The footage shown to the court shows two children in pajamas being passed through a rear window.
“I thought we were going to be shot,” an officer told the court.
‘[That] the bullets can go all the way through the house.’

Police searched White’s home and found two rifles, ammunition, a green ammunition belt, a small amount of methylamphetamine and a bowl of cannabis leaf
The court heard White surrendered before being taken into police custody at the Wyong Police Station.
Senior agent Hunt told the court that White had said he had taken “two points of ice” and asked if “someone is dead.”
Police searched his home and found two rifles, ammunition, a green ammunition belt, a small amount of methylamphetamine and a bowl of cannabis leaf.
White has pleaded not guilty to one count of murder, two counts of setting off a firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and four counts of shooting a firearm in a home with reckless disregard for a person’s safety.
He does not dispute the shooting and will make a defense of mental or cognitive impairment.
