Judd revealed last month in an interview on Today that she is “somewhere between hell and hallelujah” after her mother’s tragic death.

The country singer, who formed half of the musical act The Judds with her mother, said the performance was on her current tour. “heal me, one show at a time.”

Wynonna will now continue the tour alone.

“All my friends are coming and it’s like the biggest party you throw yourself before the end. I feel like I’m doing a victory lap and the fans are watching me and they’re for me because they grew up with me,” she told Hoda Kotb.

“I’ve been around for so long and they’re bringing their next generation and sisters – I see up to four generations at the shows.

“It’s a crazy time, Hoda, because it’s not about show business. This is a celebration of life, as well as people going through their own stuff while listening to the songs of what they’ve been through.”

When asked what stage of the grieving process she was in, she said, “It depends on what state I’m in. I’ll cry and then go straight to the next song, and I’ll always keep Kleenex here.”

Hoda pointed out that Naomi always kept Kleenex in the same place, too: “Your mom did that… she’s been here many times and she had a few things she’d tuck in there.”

Wynonna continued, “I just sing and I cry and I do the same thing every day where I am. People know me very well, and if you don’t know me, look at me, I’m cute, and I’m real, and I’m broken and blessed and I’m sassy and I cry and snottin’ through the songs, but thousands people show up to celebrate with me.’

Wynonna has also found support from her six-month-old granddaughter Kaliyah, who has been her rock during the ordeal.

“She’s six months old and not talking yet, but she sees right through me and I know you know what I’m talking about. They see right through you.’

“She gives me hope,” she said. “She gives me hope. Your daughters name is Hope… You know that, they give you hope. They give you something to think about besides yourself. Because so much of what we do is about us, so it’s nice to be with her because she doesn’t care what I look like.”

During this difficult time, Wynonna relied on a grief counselor and life coach.

“I call them and I say, ‘I don’t understand why.’ And they will say, “Ask yourself what. What can you do?” They help me switch to another job and they help me cope: “I can do something, even if I feel hopeless right now.” Instead of asking why, ask what – what can I do right now to get to the next breath, the next right thing.”

The Judds were one of the most successful acts in country music history, winning five Grammy Awards and charting more than 20 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including 14 that went to number one.

Naomi Judd died by suicide after a long battle with her mental health on April 30, 19 days after The Judds’ last performance and a day before the duo were inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame.
