WWE star Seth Rollins ‘stands by’ SAG-AFTRA strike but claims there’s a ‘silver lining’
Seth Rollins has revealed the current opportunity for the WWE following writers’ strikes across Hollywood.
The WWE superstar discussed the standoff between the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA with Tinseltown’s top executives over better pay and benefits.
Vince McMahon’s WWE has been left untouched because the writers are not part of any union body. Rollins told TMZ that the professional wrestling conglomerate was in a “lucky” position as a result.
“We can still perform and for our audience and people who may not be familiar, they now have a chance to tune in and see what all the fuss is about,” he said.
“Business is hot right now,” Rollins added. ‘We’re in a tree, I think. Looking back on it, it will be a special time.’

Alan Ruck and Justine Lupe, who play Connor and Willa on HBO’s Succession, are among those who have recently joined the recent protests outside Warner Bros Studios in Los Angeles.
Despite the current success of his employers, the two-time WWE Champion is sympathetic to the plight of those in Hollywood.
“I know it’s a tough time for the actors and the writers,” he said from LAX. “I believe they are doing the right thing by asking what they deserve. I support them.’
The Hollywood dispute has stretched to affect the world of sports – just as it did in previous weeks.
Sports talk host Pat McAfee delivered the opening monologue on ESPYS in his first major public appearance since joining ESPN in May.
The show did not host a celebrity due to the ongoing deadlock. McAfee issued a series of hints that comedian Kevin Hart was set for the gig, but that Hart chose to support the Writers Guild of America.
An ESPN spokeswoman said a production team worked with presenters on their opening remarks.
