According to a report, WWE Hall of Famer Edge could retire from wrestling for the second time this Friday.
Edge, real name Adam Copeland, stunned the industry when he returned to the business in 2020 after retiring nearly a decade earlier due to neck problems, having undergone triple neck surgery to treat a serious injury.
He has enjoyed a second career run in recent years, challenging for top titles while also forming his own stable and wrestling alongside his wife, Beth Phoenix.
But fans know he can call it quits at any time and rumors are swirling that it could be next Friday in his home country of Canada, 25 years after his debut.
He’s about to face Sheamus live on Smackdown, and it could be the last time the 49-year-old steps into a WWE ring, according to the Wrestling Observer.

Reportedly, Edge had said he would retire to Toronto this summer, though he would have believed SummerSlam, WWE’s second biggest show of the year after WrestleMania, would be held there.
The former world champion’s trainer, Ron Hutchinson, is said to have made the same claim, while Friday will be the last show in Toronto for now, all signs point to the evening being Edge’s last hurray.
Edge last wrestled on July 7 on SmackDown, defeating Grayson Waller and was back on television screens last week to challenge fellow veteran Sheamus to a first-ever match this Friday.
The two will go head to head in what will likely be the main event of the show, and Edge could end it at the end of the program.
Edge is a multiple former champion in WWE and has held the WWE title four times, among others

He is also a five-time Intercontinental Champion, one-time United States Champion, twelve-time World Tag Team Champion, and two-time WWE Tag Team Champion.
Also a former King of the Ring, Mr Money in the Bank and Royal Rumble winner, he was the first person to achieve all three in a career.
After retiring in 2011, Edge was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2012 before making a surprise return at the 2020 Royal Rumble.
