WWE legend believes Triple H will stop him returning to the company… as the former world champion reveals his problems with promotion’s new boss
- Triple H took over from Vince McMahon, who is facing sex trafficking allegations
- There are positive reports about morale in the company under the new chief
- One legend, however, seems to have ruled out appearing under his leadership
A WWE legend has admitted he is unlikely to return to the company following Triple H’s takeover.
Triple H is the company’s new boss after Vince McMahon stepped down from his position after being accused of sex trafficking, while the 78-year-old was in the process of selling his remaining shares in the umbrella company TKO.
WWE marked a new era under ‘The Game’ at WrestleMania, with a number of stars dubbing it ‘The Triple H era’ as a result of one of the most successful shows the promotion has ever put on.
Feedback has been generally positive about the leadership of Triple H, real name Paul Levesque, but not all WWE talent past and present has good things to say about the veteran.
Rob van Dam, who has held various positions within the company over a number of decades, explained on social media how he thinks his days at the company are over.

Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam said on social media that he’s ‘not so sure if’ Triple H is a ‘fan’ of him
“Now that Triple H is taking over, is there any chance you’ll return to WWE?” a fan asked the 53-year-old on X, formerly Twitter, to which ‘RVD’ replied: ‘I just read 2+4=7. Someone else?’
When asked if he was implying he wouldn’t get along with Triple H, he replied, “I’m not so sure he’s a fan.”
WWE has just completed their latest edition of their draft, with a number of celebrities and legends appearing to help make the picks.
Last year, Van Damn was part of the returning cohort that helped announce the picks, but this year he was nowhere to be seen.
He has appeared sporadically on rival company AEW’s shows, and last wrestled on April 20 at Rampage, where he faced Isiah Kassidy, Komander and Lee Johnson.

Van Dam spent decades in WWE and has appeared sporadically in recent years
Van Dam spent a long time in WWE with Triple H, wrestling for several years before retiring in 2022 due to heart problems.
Although they never publicly clashed during their in-ring careers, Van Dam opened up about their relationship earlier this year.
Speak with Wrestling Shoot Interviewshe said, “I think it’s common knowledge that not only was he office, but it’s often been said publicly that he was at least one of the people responsible for turning the idea of RVD around in a more productive way to use .
“I think everyone knows, it could have been RVD at WrestleMania and he was like, ‘No, Rob’s not big enough’ or something like that.”
