Natalie Fornasier, 28, revealed that it has been four weeks since she began receiving end-of-life care as she continues to battle deadly melanoma.

‘Today marks four weeks in palliative care. It is absurd that so much time has passed, time is so fluid that it seems that nothing has happened, but the calendar says otherwise, ”she wrote.

“I miss home incredibly, I miss my trinkets on the fireplace and my sofa that basically swallows you. I miss my kitchen.

I even miss the possums on the roof. But I can’t walk without help anymore, my legs are full of fluid, my whole body aches 24/7 and the tumor burden is intense.’

Natalie said she could feel her body getting weaker with each passing day.

“My pain is slowly increasing, day by day I can feel my body slowing down a bit more which is such a strange thing to witness especially when you can physically feel it too,” she wrote.

“However, these yellow-stained walls with creaky old doors are the best place for me: it’s safe (and fully stocked with all the medicine I need!).”

Natalie said she was cherishing every moment she had with her loved ones while she still could.

“It’s one minute at a time for me right now, and I’m so thankful it’s still a possibility,” she wrote.

‘If my time here has taught me anything, it’s that time moves like a river.

‘You can’t see the beginning or the end, but you can feel it, so you better make the most of it.

“Even if it means napping next to your loved one for hours while you’re together.”

He shared his gratitude for the outpouring of support he’s received since he made the heartbreaking update on his diagnosis.

“I want to wholeheartedly thank everyone for your messages of love, support, kindness and of course your incredibly generous donations,” he wrote.

It does not escape me how lucky I am to have so much love surrounding me with those I know and those I don’t every day. My heart is full.’

Natalie said she was cherishing every moment she had with her loved ones while she was still able.

Natalie’s battle with melanoma has caused great grief among her fans, including Hemsworth, who worked alongside her while filming her new National Geographic series ‘Limitless’.

Melanoma symptoms

Melanoma is a type of skin cancer that usually occurs on parts of the body that have been overexposed to the sun.

Melanoma often has no symptoms; however, the first sign is usually a change in an existing mole or the appearance of a new spot.

These changes may include:

  • color: a mole can change color or have different shades of color or stain
  • size: a mole may appear to be getting larger
  • shape: a mole may have an irregular border or may increase in height
  • elevation: the mole may develop a raised area
  • itching or bleeding

He told his millions of followers that Natalie, who appeared in the sixth episode of Limitless, was unfortunately not doing well.

“I, like many of you, continue to be moved by her story and even more impressed with her positivity,” he wrote.

‘Natalie is a person who shows perpetual grace in the face of adversity; she is kind, selfless, and courageous in the way that she continues to openly tell her shocking story of hers.

The Hollywood legend said she hoped Natalie, ‘strength, perseverance and dignity inspire you today and every day’.

In an earlier Facebook post, Natalie said the word “terminal” had terrified her since her first diagnosis for a reason: It was always a very real possibility.

‘The last four months have been brutal. At the end of July I received the news that my cancer was already terminal and I had months to live,’ she wrote.

I have cried myself hoarse from the fear of death. I have screamed for the children I would never have, growing old, my friends, the life I was supposed to live.

Natalie has spent years raising awareness about the dangers of skin cancer, but admits she never thought she would have to get into the “die” state of mind.

‘At 28…everything feels wrong. The conversations I’ve had to have, the plans I’ve had to make, the places my thoughts have gone and continue to go, none of it comes naturally. It’s painful,’ he said.

Natalie (pictured with her partner Alex) has been using her platform to urge young women to check their skin and be more cautious in the sun.

She is especially devastated for her loved ones.

“I have been forgotten crying for (boyfriend) Alexander, the anguish and love that he would be leaving, for the life that we were supposed to have. I have cried for my family.

He went on to celebrate having achieved his life goals.

‘My only goal in life was to love. I have experienced an all-consuming love, something so profoundly precious and powerful and soul-changing that I know even if I leave this earth, that energy and love will never die.’
