Wrexham striker Paul Mullin has been crowned FA Cup top scorer this season with the striker’s nine goals helping the Welsh side reach the fourth round.

Mullin finished four goals ahead of Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez, who scored five times en route to lifting the trophy.

The 28-year-old was confirmed as the winner of the Ballon d’Or award after Man City beat arch rivals Man United 2-1 in the final at Wembley.

Mullin and his family were invited to Wembley as FA guests before accepting the post-match award.

The Wrexham star was joined by the club’s co-owner, Ryan Reynolds, and the Hollywood star was a guest at Manchester United.

The Red Dragons are about to face a Manchester United team on a pre-season tour of the United States.

“Thanks @ManUtd for the hospitality during the #FACupFinal,” Reynolds wrote. See you in San Diego July 26th.

“This season has been unforgettable and receiving this award at today’s final was the icing on the cake,” said Mullin.

“Every child wants to play in the Emirates FA Cup as a child and to become a top scorer is a very proud moment for me and my family.”
