WrestleMania 39: The Miz shares advice from The Rock on how to conquer Hollywood from WWE
REVEALED: The Miz shares tips from The Rock on how to conquer WWE Hollywood as the 18-year veteran follows in The Great One’s footsteps again to host WrestleMania 39
The Miz will host both nights of WrestleMania 39 this weekend in Los Angeles.
As a former two-time WWE Champion and WrestleMania main event winner, the 42-year-old overcame a rocky start to his WWE career 18 years ago to establish himself as a Hall of Fame contender.
However, The Miz also made his mark in Hollywood and became WWE’s franchise player on his series The Marine.
When he won the main event of WrestleMania 27, The Rock gave the Hollywood A-Lister some serious help along the way in setting up his own showdown with Cena.
That year, The Rock was the host of WrestleMania. In the 12 years since Miz earned that honor, The Rock has helped him find the performance that inspired him on his wrestling journey.

The former two-time champion has made his mark in both WWE and Hollywood.
He revealed that The Rock has been a great help to both his acting career and wrestling.
“When I was on this show called ‘The Real World,’ I was done with that show and asked myself in the mirror what I want to do with the rest of my life,” The Miz began. ‘The Rock action figure was on a stand; my co-stars got me the figure because they knew I loved wrestling. I looked at the figure of Rock and said “I want to become a WWE superstar.”
‘That’s where my journey began. Then being able to come back after 10 years and have him be part of my moment and I was in his first game back! Not only that, WrestleMania and all that stuff, it was a dream come true.
‘It is funny. After WrestleMania, I had to do The Marine 3, I went to do my first movie. I went to my acting coach, I made sure I knew everything from top to bottom. Who is my character, how does he react to certain things, who is he as an incarnation and everything.
“I was about to go and do my first scene and I thought, you know what? I’m going to text The Rock and see if he has any advice before I go. “I’m about to shoot my first film as a lead. Is there any advice you can give me?” And literally, I was about to walk out and I got a call: The Rock.
“I talked to him for about 20 minutes about everything. And the first thing I got, and it’s a great thing, is being natural. Whoever your character is, whatever your character does, be natural. Too many times we are thinking “where do I step? Where do I have to be? The line is right there. There are 45 cameras going” and you lose sight of it. Just be natural. Lose yourself in the scene. It was great advice and I still use it to this day,” revealed The Miz.
WrestleMania 39 airs this Saturday and Sunday live on Peacock in the US and WWE Network in the UK
