A man spent $169.34 on a ticket to Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida, but was disappointed by the “main attraction.”
Simon Wilson shared a video on TikTok last week explaining why Disneyworld is a waste of money after visiting Cinderella Castle – the heart of Magic Kingdom.
The castle was the reason Wilson wanted to visit Magic Kingdom and was surprised that the famous Cinderella Castle did not meet his expectations.
“It’s small – you just expect it to be huge,” Wilson said.
Despite his disappointment with the size of Cinderella Castle, the TikToker said the attraction was “hugely impressive.”

One of the things Wilson didn’t like was having to spend $169.34 for a ticket to get into Magic Kingdom, saying the price was “not cheap.”
According to WDW Magazine, there are six Disney castles – one in each resort.
The 180-foot-tall castle in Orlando was built in 1977 and is the only one to offer an invitation-only overnight suite.
Cinderella Castle also offers handmade glass mosaics and the adorable Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique children’s salon.
Food lovers who want to eat in the castle are in luck with the fantastic Cinderella’s Royal Table Restaurant on site.
However, like many other Disney World restaurants, it is highly recommended that guests staying at a resort or visiting the park for a day do so make reservations up to 60 days in advance.
When it comes to prices, ticket costs can vary depending on the age of the guest and the date of their visit, with tickets starting at $96 for a one-day adult visit, and going up to $555 for a multi-day pass. For those who plan to bring their families rather than enjoy the sites alone, the cost of tickets can add up quickly.
Wilson was excited to visit the castle and had even purchased his ticket to Magic Kingdom to check it out
The castle, which according to Wilson seemed on the small side, is still ‘hugely impressive’
Ticket prices vary depending on the age and length of an adult or child’s stay in the park
People on TikTok agree and disagree with Wilson’s take on Cinderella Castle for two reasons: attitude and size.
One person wrote: ‘Wrong attitude if you go to Disney crying for money don’t even waste your time. Just expect to spend it all and have fun.”
Another person debating his opinion said, “I disagree. It’s not just about the castle. It’s the magic you feel when you walk through the area, the food, the feeling that your early childhood is something magical.’
“I don’t know what you expected, but huge. Disney height limits, Disney world is bigger (30,080 acres) than California (500 acres),” one user explained about what Wilson believes is a “small” castle.
Some TikTokers agreed with Wilson about the size of Cinderella Castle, with one agreeing that it didn’t meet their expectations.
“Really, I was there and I expected it to be huge,” the user wrote.
TikTok users had a wide variety of opinions and statements about Cinderella Castle and why Disney World is a place that brings joy instead of regret
Since May 2023, 58,000 guests visit Magic Kingdom at Disney World every day.
The other Cinderella Castle is located at Tokyo Disneyland, which was built in 1983 and stands 50 meters high.
