A friend has been shown the bizarre “cleaning hack” of her boyfriend’s toilet seat that is preventing thousands of people from ever eating at other houses again.
Alison Koroly’s shared a video of the toilet seat being removed and placed sideways on the bottom of a dishwasher — next to dirty plates and cups.
“I never knew people did this,” read the caption above the video, alongside the caption, “He lives in the year 3000.”
The shocking clip has been viewed more than 5.3 million times and garnered more comments, with many claiming how “annoying” and “horrifying” it was.
“Temperature kills the bacteria, but the emotional damage is forever,” one wrote.

Many have also vowed never to eat in other people’s homes again.

Others pointed out that the so-called “hack” was probably a joke – or at least the majority hoped it was.
Many also responded to the sarcastic remarks, with one person writing, “Don’t forget to put the toilet brush in the dishwasher too!”
