Worrying photos emerge of reclusive Hollywood star once tipped to be the next Jim Carrey – as he lives an anonymous life in Australia

Sit up alone a bench overlooking the ocean, the man with his Jack Russell Terrier in his arms looks solemnly at the water as the waves crash against the rocks.

Anyone passing by probably wouldn’t look at him a second time.

But in the late 1980s and early 1990s, he was famous all over the world. His career as a comedic actor was once so promising that he was dubbed the next Jim Carrey.

But Greg Pead – better known as Yahoo Serious – did not achieve lasting success. The Australian actor, known for his 1988 cult hit Young Einstein and his 1993 film Reckless Kelly, disappeared from the spotlight decades ago.

After a few failed attempts to restart his career, he was evicted from his Sydney rental property in 2020 for failing to pay rent and was ordered to pay $15,000 to his landlord.

In the latest development, 71-year-old Serious was photographed last Thursday looking frail and bald – despite only being seen with long hair in April – a worrying sign that the reclusive comedian’s health may be deteriorating.

That same year, things took a tumultuous turn for Serious when he tried to launch the website Yahoo! in court for trademark infringement.
