- Iran opened a disturbing war-themed amusement park for children
- In the park, children dress up as soldiers and shoot plastic bullets at a Netanyahu target
- The disturbing theme park is run by the Iranian government to ‘educate’ about war
Iran opened a disturbing government-run children’s amusement park where visitors dress as soldiers and fire AK-47s at American flags and Netanyahu targets to “learn” about the war.
City of Games for Revolutionary Children is an ‘amusement park’ near Iran’s second largest city, Mashhad.
The amusement park is free for visitors and is aimed at boys aged eight to thirteen who come to ‘play’ soldiers with each other.
Attractions at the monument in question include “attacking Iran’s enemies” by shooting plastic bullets at a target of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and American flags.
The disturbing children’s theme park opened in September and is suspiciously run by the government.

Children can dress up in military gear and play with AK47s as they supposedly learn about the Iran-Iraq war from 1980 to 1988 – known to Iranians as ‘The Holy Defense’.
Also on display in the park are mocking battles in Syria, intended to teach children about ISIS.
Visitors can also take part in activities such as climbing walls and crawling under barbed wire, while staff members bark orders and loudspeakers blast recorded machine gun fire.
The amusement park was so popular that they considered extending the park’s planned schedule to meet demand.
Director of the Cultural Center Hamid Sadeghi discussed the bizarre park in an interview with Iran’s Raja News.
‘The children follow different paths that simulate fighting the enemy, and in some places the children learn about simple (combat) methods such as firing plastic artillery shells at a simulated enemy and aiming and firing a gun with plastic bullets at ( an effigy) of Netanyahu and on American and Israeli flags.
“(Afterwards), the children are blindfolded and asked to throw a ball in the shape of a puzzle at an Israeli flag and knock it over, and then put together a puzzle of an Iranian flag.
“The children learn that the most important elements for achieving victory are wisdom and intelligence to fight the enemy,” Sadeghi said.
While playing soldier is just a game for children in Iran, across the Persian Gulf in Yemen, children are still being recruited into military ranks to fight in the country’s civil war.

Yemen’s civil war began in late 2014, when Houthi forces took over the capital Sanaa, followed by a rapid Houthi takeover of the government.
The Iran-backed Houthis group was hit by US missiles on Tuesday – the third attack on the rebels in recent days.
The attack came as the Iran-backed Houthis claimed responsibility for a missile attack on the Malta-flagged bulk carrier Zografia in the Red Sea.
The ship was hit, but no one was injured. The ship was heading north towards the Suez Canal when it was attacked, the Greek Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy said.
Witnesses to the war in Yemen reported seeing children as young as seven at checkpoints – and the UN reported that nearly 2,000 children recruited by the Houthis were killed in the fighting between January 2020 and May 2021.
