The world’s first facial recognition technology on a car made its European debut at Salon Privé London this week.
It is available exclusively on the all-electric Genesis GV60, a luxury brand from the Hyundai stable.

The Korean giant’s new Face Connect system is part of a keyless biometric vehicle opening and engine starting system, adapting technology already available on millions of smartphones.
So no key is needed to lock, unlock and operate the GV60.
Amid concerns about Big Brother technology and the surveillance society, Genesis insisted, “Drivers can rest assured that at no time will biometric data be uploaded and stored remotely.”
The all-electric GV60 is priced from £53,905 and has a range of up to 521 miles.
