Fallon Sherrock and Mikuru Suzuki have secured qualification for the 2023/24 PDC Women’s Series World Darts Championship.

The duo hold an unassailable advantage in the women’s series standings to secure the two qualifying spots available in the sport’s biggest event.

Suzuki had entered the final weekend of the women’s series in second place behind Beau Greaves.

But “The Queen of the Palace” has now moved ahead of Suzuki in the race to qualify for November’s Grand Slam of Darts, having won events 21 and 22 on Saturday.

Sherrock kicked off the final weekend of action in the PDC Women’s Series by winning back-to-back titles at Robin Park Tennis Centre, meaning the Milton Keynes star and Suzuki can now not be caught by the chasing pack.

The 29-year-old – also winner of Event 20 last month – blanked Vicky Pruim and Aoife McCormack in the respective finals to cap a perfect darting day.

Sherrock claimed the scalps of Suzuki and Greaves en route to Event 22 glory, giving her a third consecutive crown in the women’s series for the first time in her career.

Sherrock has moved into pole position to qualify for November’s Grand Slam of Darts, with women’s matchplay world champion Greaves already assured of her place in Wolverhampton – live on Sky Sports.

The eventual second star on the final Order of Merit of the women’s series will join Greaves in the 32-player field, and Suzuki went into the weekend with a £2,200 lead over Sherrock.

Nevertheless, the former Grand Slam quarter-finalist now holds the initiative with two events remaining, £1,500 ahead of Suzuki after her remarkable 21-match winning streak.

Abi Davies believes what Sherrock has done for the sport is second to none

Suzuki previously competed at Alexandra Palace in the 2019/20 tournament, losing 3-2 to James Richardson – with Milton Keynes hurler Sherrock then making history in the same event with victories over Ted Evetts and Mensur Suljovic .

Sherrock has also competed at the last two World Championships and will make her return to Alexandra Palace in December – completing a memorable year that saw her hit a nine-darter on the Challenge Tour and receive an MBE.
