Workday is DOWN: Thousands of users report outage as they are unable to login

Workday experienced an outage this afternoon, preventing thousands of users from accessing the site.

The outage started around 1:30 a.m. ET, with users reporting in Workday’s login page showed an ‘error’ or ‘session error’ message when they tried to log in, while others said the page wouldn’t load at all.

The company acknowledged the outage on Downdetector, a site that monitors online issues, saying it was an “unplanned service outage” and is “actively working to resolve this issue.”

Workday is experiencing an outage, which means thousands of users no longer have access to the platform

Workday is a cloud-based management platform that companies use to organize HR and financial files.

Users have taken to social media to complain about the outage, saying it prevents them from continuing their work.

“Incredibly frustrating to have a great productive day only to be slowed down by a Workday outage,” one person wrote.

Another said: ‘Yes….another national outage in an already strange week!’

A Workday spokesperson shared an emailed screenshot of a note shared with customers this morning, telling them that users would be notified of the status of the outage at 2:00 PM ET, “if not sooner.”

The post was shared by a third party on Downdetector, but as of 4 p.m. ET users were still wondering when the platform would come back online.

A Workday spokesperson told DailyMail.com that they “continue to keep customers informed through our community site that they can access.”
