Woolworths supermarket urgently recalls popular ice cream: warning it can cause illness

Woolworths has recalled a popular ice cream over fears it could cause illness.

The major supermarket has recalled its Woolworths brand Cookies & Cream Classic Ice Cream Sandwiches 4 Pack (440mL).

The product has been on sale at all Woolworths stores in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT.

The recalled packaging has an expiration date of November 2, 2024.

“Food products containing metal can cause illness/injury when consumed,” Food Standards Australia warned in a warning on Wednesday.

“Consumers should not eat this product and should return the product to their nearest Woolworths supermarket or Woolworths Metro for a full refund.”
