- Woolworths has increased the price by 30c
Woolworths has changed its popular garlic bread and hiked the price, sparking outrage from customers already struggling with the cost of living.
A new recipe for the popular item from the Woolworths Essentials range has sparked outrage from fans, with some labeling the product not as good as the old one.
“We loved the old garlic bread – it was $2 forever and it was exactly the same as Domino’s bread,” a Sydney mum told Daily Mail Australia.
“But even my garlic bread-obsessed four-year-old refused to eat the new stuff.”
The supermarket giant is understood to have introduced the new product in recent weeks and raised the price to $2.30 – $30 more than the original.
It is also now being sold under the brand’s Global Bakehouse range.
