A major dairy company has recalled its pour cream products over fears that some batches could be contaminated with E.coli.

Fleurieu Milk Company has issued a recall for its products with an expiration date of April 6, 7 and 8.

Affected batches are sold everywhere Woolworths, IGA and Independent Food Retailers South Australia and independent food retailers in VIC, NSW and NT.

Fleurieu Milk Company has expressed concerns that some of its products could have microbial contamination.

The food standards watchdog has urged customers to return their produce to the supermarket.

“All consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice and customers should return the product or products to the place of purchase for a full refund,” it said in a statement.

‘We apologize for any inconvenience.’

E.coli is a bacterial infection that can cause diarrhea, stomach cramps, and sometimes fever.

Symptoms usually develop three to four days after infection and last as long as five days.
