Woolworths confirms major pricing overhaul across Australia – here’s what you need to know
Woolworths will cut prices on more than 450 items in stores nationwide as part of the new price change.
From Wednesday 29 May, the cost of selected products will drop by 20 percent as part of the ‘Prices Dropped for Winter’ programme, with some items reduced to their lowest price in almost four years.
Top deals include corned beef silverside for $8/kg instead of $10/kg, pork belly for $16/kg instead of $19/kg and beef chuck steak for $15/kg instead of $17.50/kg.
Other popular products in the program include Devondale Shredded Taste Cheese, Vanish Napisan Stain Remover Powder, Strength Meals Co Chicken Vegetable & Barley Soup, Twinings Pure Peppermint Tea Bags and more.
The offer will only be available for the next three months until August 27.

As winter approaches, customers can score Strepsils Anesthetic Lozenges for $15 instead of $19, 50 packs of Twinings English Breakfast Tea Bags for $7 or Heinz Big N Chunky Soup varieties for $3.
Paul Harker, Chief Commercial Officer of Woolworths Supermarkets, said: ‘We understand the pressures our customers are under and needing to spend money on hearty, hot meals and groceries for their families.
“Our ‘Princes Dropped for Winter’ program is designed to give our customers certainty about the key products they will buy this season, so they can further expand their budgets.”

Customers can also save 30 percent by purchasing Woolworths own brand products compared to alternative brands.
