Woolworths Chief Commercial Officer Paul Harker told FEMAIL: ‘We know our customers are looking for lower prices and offers to help them manage their budgets, and we want to help them spend less when they shop with us.

‘This season we have included a range of products in the autumn price drop to ensure that families can buy ingredients for meals, snacks for the whole family and packed lunches for children, as well as household essentials at an even higher price.

‘This is in addition to our 6,000 weekly specials and the Low Price program. Customers can also benefit from great added value in the store thanks to our wide range of own-brand products, which are on average 30 percent cheaper than comparable brands.’
