Woodville West: Dramatic moment hooning car crashes and burst into flames before drunk driver flees from scene
Dramatic footage has captured the moment a driver suffered a high-speed burnout before his car later crashed into a tree and burst into flames.
Police were called to a street in the northwest Adelaide suburb of Woodville West at 1.45am on Monday after reports a Holden sedan was on fire in the middle of the road.
The car had crashed into a tree before driving onto the street, where it had leaked a trail of gasoline that soon caught fire.

Witnesses, who reported hearing an “explosion,” told police they saw the driver fleeing the scene as the vehicle burst into flames.
CCTV footage from nearby homes shows a figure walking down the street as the fireball erupts.
Officers traced the registered owner to an address just a few blocks away, where he allegedly submitted a breath test result that was almost twice the legal limit.

“Reports were lodged for drink-driving, careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident,” a South Africa Police spokesperson said.
“He lost his driver’s license for six months on the spot.”
Police also confirmed the driver will be issued a summons to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.”
