Wonderful Tails in FFXIV, Explained
Miraculous tails (usually abbreviated as WT) is one of the most important weeklies in Final fantasy 14, which rewards you for completing tasks and helps you clean up new content. It’s a bit like bingo and you get more rewards as you get more lines in a row.

Wonderful Tails in FFXIV, Explained
Every week Khloe Aliapoh, a young Miqo’te in Idyllshire, gives you a book to complete. In exchange for stories of your triumph, she will give it to you stickers. Line up four stickers on the four-by-four grid and you’ll receive a special prize. You can get a total of nine stickers, so as you get more lines you get bigger prizes.
The Wonderful Tails book is a key articleand you can use the item to open the book. You can earn stickers by completing the tasks shown on the left side of the book and you can see which stickers you have on the right.
For every assigned task you complete, Khloe will give you one sticker anywhere on the grid. Ideally, you want at least one line before the book expires during the weekly reset (top left is when the book goes bad) to get good rewards.

If you’re part of a group where someone is clearing content for the first time, you’ll get a ‘Second chance” as shown below the task grid. For example, you get a second chance if you queue up in Trials Roulette and let a new player complete ‘The Striking Tree’ for the first time, even if it’s not on your list of Miraculous Tails tasks for the week.
You can use Second Chances to “try again”, mark a cleared task as uncompleted (so you can earn another sticker by completing that same task) and move the release to another task. You can also use two Second Chances to “shake,” re-roll where your stickers are on your grid. This is super important if you are going for a certain number of lines.
Once you have nine stickers in your book, return it to Khloe to receive your rewards. If your book expires before you do so (even if it is complete), you will not be able to claim any rewards.
How to Unlock Wondrous Tails in FFXIV
To unlock Wondrous Tails you must complete the level 60 mission “Stay informed about the Aliapos” (lol). You can pick up this quest via the NPC ‘Salving Adventurer’ in Idyllshire.
The NPC will have the blue quest marker with the plus sign above their head, so you should be able to find them on your map.
Miraculous Tails Rewards
Khloe offers the same rewards for lines, although the type of Tomestones rewarded varies depending on the patch. There are some exceptions, as some rewards will change in Poetics when a new patch comes out that changes tombstones. You also only get certain Tomestones if you have at least one job at the maximum level. You must choose one reward from the following depending on the number of lines you have:
- 9 stamps: 500 Allagan Tomestones or Poetics, an Allagan Platinum Piece or a treasure map from the current expansion
- 1 line: 1 MGP Gold Card (worth 30,000 MGP, the Gold Saucer currency), 1 Khloe’s Bronze Certificate of Commendation, or 300 valuable books
- 2 lines: 2 MGP Gold Cards, 1 Khloe’s Silver Certificate of Commendation, or 1,000 books of lesser value
- 3 lines: 20 MGP Gold Cards, 3 Khloe’s Silver Certificate of Commendation, or 1 Khloe’s Gold Certificate of Commendation
If your book is complete with nine stamps, you will receive these too 50% of a level’s EXP for whatever task you turn the book in for. That said, make sure you turn the book in for a sub-maximum job to make the most of the rewards.

Each of Khloe’s certificates has its own item exchange when you talk to Khloe. The rewards for each type are as follows:
- Bronze certificates: Clusters for materia, minions, and magical prisms
- Silver certificates: Glamor accessories, older ornate armor, materia clusters, minions, and a framing shop
- Golden certificates: Sabotender de la Luna Whistle, Magicked Children’s Bed, Miraculous Lanner Whistle, Troll Horn, Calydontis Horn, Incitatus Whistle, clusters for materia and ornate armor
Keep in mind that almost everything Khloe trades can be purchased on the market board, albeit at a high price. (The mounts you get from the gold certificates can be sold for almost 10 million gil, depending on your server!)
Some rewards, such as the followers you get for bronze certifications, can be obtained through Equipment Containers from your Large Company. Some of the other rewards, such as the Gold Certificate holders and the Silver Certificate Glamor items, can also be obtained in exchange for Faux Leaves (which you get when you Fake cavities).
Gold certificates can also be exchanged for crafted “ornate” armor, which is the best armor for raiders early in the raid cycle and can be sold for a lot of gil during that time. Silver can be exchanged for the Ornate Armor from the previous cycle, so we don’t recommend purchasing it.
How to get three lines in Miraculous Tails
If you’re looking for that big top prize, there are only a few variations to get you to three lines. Your lines should be aligned like this, although they can also be a rotation or reflection of these patterns:

That said, you will need to keep shuffling your stickers until your stickers line up in this shape. Once you’ve lined up your seven stickers in one of these directions, all you have to do is choose a god and pray that your remaining two seals fit where they need to go.
To get the most out of your tasks, second changes, and stickers, you should do the following:
- Complete as many tasks as you can until you have seven stickers. You can complete these tasks unsynchronized to quickly complete old extreme trials and raids.
- Try save Second Chances for shuffles instead of new attempts.
- Collect more second chances quickly by using Normal Raid or Trials Roulette. You can also check out the Party Finder for those looking for unsynced first attempts at completing raids or trials.
The rest is all just luck. There are countless players who have been completing Wondrous Tails for years and haven’t gotten three lines yet, so don’t get discouraged. You can always spend 10 million gil for that elusive mountain (or grind out Faux Hollows, as mentioned earlier).
