Women’s rights campaigner Kellie-Jay Keen sues Australian MPs for defamation after she was attacked at a rally following their condemnation of her tour

Women’s rights activist Kellie-Jay Keen is suing Australian MPs for libel after she was assaulted at a rally where she was doused in tomato sauce and pelted with eggs.

The Wiltshire mother-of-four has sent a legal letter to the Victorian Liberal leadership team with a deadline of 28 days to issue a written apology, pay damages and cover her legal costs or face legal action to undertake.

Ms Keen has accused Leader of the Opposition John Pesutto, Deputy Matt Bach and Leader of the House of Lords Georgie Crozier of making ‘grossly misconceived, deliberately vexatious and miserably false’ claims against her.

The mother, who also goes by the name of Posie Parker, has taken part in a Let Women Speak world tour that includes rallies in Australia and New Zealand.

The defamation threat concerns ousted Liberal party member Moira Deeming, who appeared in March at a Let Women Speak event in Melbourne where black-clad, masked neo-Nazis raided Ms Keen’s rally.

Ms Deeming was previously suspended for nine months for attending the rally, but was later expelled by a vote of 19 to 11.

The motion charged her with “organising, promoting and attending a rally at which Kellie-Jay Keen (aka Posie Parker) was the keynote speaker, in circumstances where Ms. Keen was known to be publicly associated with far-right parties. extremist groups, including neo-Nazi activists.”

Ms. Keen has consistently denied knowing anything about the neo-Nazi group that gave the sickening Hitler salute.

Ms Keen told MailOnline exclusively in March: ‘They are still calling me a Nazi because these men showed up at my event in Melbourne.

“They had nothing to do with me, they weren’t invited.

‘All the time I feel like I’m being treated like a real Nazi. I don’t think the Nazis were particularly known for their women’s rights.

“Since I flew here, I’ve been on every news channel and newspaper.

“The politicians seem to have it all in order here. It’s all about power. I’m told there are many of them who don’t even believe what they say; they just say it to gain power.’

The campaigner received faced strong criticism from LGBTIQA+ groups, as well as from politicians who have expressed concerns about her alleged association with far-right groups.

She was previously called ‘ac***’ by an Australian Green MP. She was also criticized by a British MP for saying access to abortion and contraception should be reversed for children and teenagers.

Prior to her trip to Australia, Stephen Bates, Greens spokesperson for LGBTIQA+ issues, wrote to Immigration Minister Andrew Giles requesting that her visa be revoked.

Mr Bates argued that Ms Keen has a long history of “promoting or excusing hatred and violence against trans and other marginalized communities.”

Ms. Keen founded the SFW group which campaigns for sex-based rights and protection of the word woman.

Earlier this year, one of the movement’s supporters was “assaulted” by a gang of masked trans activists.

She was attacked in May during a counter-protest by the Manchester Trans Rise Up (MTRU) movement next to Emmeline Pankhurst’s cityscape in St Peter’s Square.

The trans activists arrived to disrupt SFW’s speaking event in front of the statue as part of an event they said aimed at ‘reclaiming part of Manchester for women’s voices’.

And in 2018, a billboard with the definition of a woman written on it funded by Ms Keen was taken down after a Twitter activist complained it was ‘transphobic’.

She raised £700 for the poster to be hung in Liverpool for a fortnight to mark the Labor Party conference.

The poster, on the side of the old Gaumont cinema on Gredington Street in Toxteth, Liverpool, featured the Google definition of a woman: ‘adult human female’.

But it was removed after Dr Adrian Harrop, 31, who is not transgender, complained to billboard company Primesight that it would cause transgender women to feel unsafe.
