Women on social media celebrate how many days they have been a woman – in response to Dylan Mulvaney

Conservative women take to social media to share their number of days they’ve lived as women in response to Bud Light’s decision to celebrate transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney’s “365 Days of Girlhood.”

Mulvaney, 26, came out as trans in March 2022 and began writing her “Days of Girlhood” on TikTok, describing her experiences transitioning.

Mulvaney marked her 221st day, in October, with a visit to the White House, where she interviewed Joe Biden about trans health care and the president said he felt “people are afraid of what they don’t know.”

On April 1, she announced she was an “ambassador” for Bud Light, and the beer maker had created a special edition to celebrate 365 days since she started living as a woman.

The move caused a backlash, and women are now sharing their own “days of womanhood” online with posts beginning with the phrase “Today I celebrate” – a trend that some men are also jumping on.

Dylan Mulvaney made the announcement himself on Instagram at the beer company’s promotional event for the NCAA March Madness tournament

“Today I’m celebrating 12,620 days of being a real woman,” one of them tweeted, passing MAGA Barbie.

‘Where’s my sponsorship? @budweiserusa @Tampax @Nike.”

Lauren Boebert, the fiery Republican congresswoman representing Colorado, tweeted, “Today I celebrate being a woman for 13,262 days. I’ve been pregnant five times (miscarried in 2012) and given birth to four incredible boys that came out of my womb.

“Every day one of those four boys can make me a grandmother.

“Being a woman is so much more than just makeup and a skirt for internet videos.”

Another said, “Today I celebrate 18,155 days of womanhood.

“I’ve had 8 babies in my womb. I gave birth to/raised 6. I have had triple negative breast cancer and would have had ovarian cancer if my ovaries had not been removed in time. No man can say these things, even if he usurps my sex.’

One woman posted a photo of her pregnant belly and said, “Today I celebrate being a woman for 12,065 days.

“I am a sister, aunt, daughter, granddaughter and now mother. I went through 229 menstrual cycles. I was pregnant once and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. My body grew into a human child and my body now feeds a human child.

“Nobody can say he did these things, because you can’t change your gender.”

One woman, describing herself as “Proud Patriot Trump,” tweeted: “Today I celebrate being a woman for 20,756 days.

“I am a former college athlete, a daughter, a sister and a lesbian. I do NOT support the alphabet soup agenda.

“I survived breast cancer and went through early menopause and I refuse to let anyone try to discredit me as a woman [sic].’

Another said, “Today I celebrate being a woman for 8,607 days.

“I’ve had about 100 menstrual cycles.

‘I’ve never been pregnant, but one day I will be.

“I have had bad cells on my uterus that are currently being checked.

“No one can ever understand any of this.”

Some men joined the movement.

“Today I celebrate 12,214 days of NOT being a woman,” Travis in Flint said.

‘I can have children, but I can never get pregnant.

“I was born to lead, provide, and protect my family. My testosterone level gives me a deeper voice, more muscle and more bone strength.

“Drugs can lessen this and make me feminine, but I will never be a woman.

‘I’m not better than women, but I’m different. Women have achieved great things, and to see men try to erase them is a disgrace to everyone.’

Another added: “Today I celebrate about 21,300 days of being a man. And none of those days did I question whether or not it was me. My math sucks, I know.’

But some trans women celebrated their “days of womanhood” with Mulvaney.

Kerri Elyse Colby, who took part in Ru Paul’s Drag Race, tweeted, “3 years, 1095 days, over 1.5 million minutes.

‘I have dedicated my life and my future to authenticity and today I celebrate my anniversary! #TransDayOfVisibility.’

And some objected to the concept.

“Today I celebrate being a woman for 17,784 days,” someone said.

‘I gave birth to 2 wonderful children. I have had heavy periods, cervical dysplasia and uterine ablations.

“I also run a business and volunteer in my community. None of this makes me more woman than anyone else. Let TW be merry ffs.’
