Dozens of women have candidly lifted the lid on all the “green flags” hidden around a man’s apartment that push them to pursue a relationship.

The post, shared earlier this week, was largely flooded with comments about items found in a suitor’s bathroom.
One user commented: ‘Toilet paper provided, sheets on bed, (clean) towels for hands, and body and separate tea towels, artwork on the walls, a CLEAN TOILET and WASH BOX.’
“Towels and hand soap in the bathroom,” says another.
A third person added: ‘Clean, dry towels. And a big green flag if they also have hand and face wipes. Astronomical bonus if they keep the washcloths separate/in a special place.”
Someone else said: ‘Hand soap… but also, quietly, a waste bin in the bathroom. I know, weird, but there were so many times when I got my period at a guy’s house and wondered what to do, lol.’
In a similar vein, others praised men who made sanitary products such as tampons or sanitary pads readily available to female visitors.
Another important ‘green flag’ what was a high priority for women was seeing that a man owned pets or plants.
One woman wrote: ‘Plants. It’s the best thing after having a pet. Plants need care, they are alive, and having one (or more) shows that there is a nurturing side to them.”

A second person commented: ‘Personal preference, but houseplants are always a green flag. Bonus if they know how to propagate and make it happen.’
Another added: “Well cared for pets. Clean litter box, fresh water, complete food/regular feeding schedule. I like seeing it. It breaks my heart and is a huge red flag when I see signs of pet neglect.”
‘An affectionate, well-behaved pet! It’s amazing how much someone can treat another living being and tell you who it is!’ said another observer.
Elsewhere, many women admitted to analyzing a man’s cooking too.
One person wrote: ‘A few clean dishes. I don’t mind washing dishes in the sink, I’m not a hypocrite. But it’s a dire situation if you don’t have one clean cup with which I can get water.’
A second person added: ‘Kitchen is fairly stocked with equipment. I understand that I have little food, I am often sparse in that area myself.
Another important “green flag” that was a high priority for women was seeing a man own pets or plants
‘But if we have simple pots and pans, spatulas and tongs, sieve, whisk, ladle; etc. It makes it much easier to come over for fun cooking dates, and you can find all of this at Goodwill, so there are no excuses.”
A third person commented: ‘A well stocked fridge. It doesn’t have to be full, but there should be more than one takeaway and some energy drinks.”
Some women added that seeing objects depicting a man’s hobbies is also a clear “green flag.”
One person wrote: ‘Proof of hobbies!!!!!!!!! I’m a nerd and I like seeing nerdy things. Books, game setups, mini model builds, Lego, puzzles, board games, instruments/pedals/equipment… Tell me anything! Show me it all!’
A second person commented: ‘Cleanliness, even though I think it’s the bare minimum. To me, a big green flag is proof of a hobby or interest, something they are passionate about or proud of.”
One person added: ‘The first time I went to my future husband’s apartment, I immediately noticed that he had framed photos of his family and even his cats. An instant keeper lol.’
