Sara took to the video-sharing platform to explain her parents’ cheerful daily routines, which include relaxing on the dock, regular phone calls and romantic evening walks.

The clip, which has received more than 742,800 views and 155,600 likes to date, explains: ‘My parents have been married for 30 years. Every summer evening they sit on our patio with our two golden retrievers and talk about their days.

‘Every time my father goes to work, he doesn’t go to bed without calling her and saying goodnight. On cold mornings he starts the car for herons and every evening they go for a walk together.’

She continued to tell their love story as she wrote, “He won her over by making banana bread and bringing it to her when she was sick, and now he makes us pancakes every weekend.

“For their 20th anniversary, he had her best friend play the piano while he sang John Legend’s All Of Me, and they dance to Taylor Swift in the kitchen every day.”

Sarah admirably went on to explain their ongoing chemistry, adding, “They still hold hands and call each other honey and look at each other like they met two weeks ago.” I’ve seen them fight twice in my life, and they’re the reason I’ll never settle for less.”

She then explained the small but important things her mother does for her father, like singing “goofy jingles” she makes up, writing him love notes, and taking care of his elderly parents when he’s out of town.

And other social media users were touched by the tender post and flooded the comments to express their admiration for the lovebirds.

One person wrote: ‘All I want in life is for my children to think of their father and I like that.’

Another added, “Posts like this remind me that my marriage doesn’t have to look like the ones I know.”

A third chimed in: ‘I didn’t have this as a kid and I wish I had. I made it for myself and I really hope that my four-year-old daughter, when she comes of age, has your perspective.”

Sarah took time to respond to her loving commenters and joked that she will “never shut up” about her parents.

In one response, she candidly explained that when her parents “had a fight once,” she was “scared” because it had “never happened before.”

But Sarah also said that “waiting (to find love) can be so worth it” after a follower wrote that she was “one of the last to get married” and is now “celebrating four years of a love like this!”

One commenter asked her, “what is it like to witness such a beautiful wedding?”

In response, Sarah confessed that although her parents’ love life is blossoming, “it can sometimes be difficult to hold them to such a high standard” and she begins to fear that she “will never have that.”

The person tried to comfort her by saying, “You’ll definitely get this!”

Sarah also explains that her life is “so much easier” because she sees them “approaching things as a united front,” and she “loves seeing their love.”

One person cynically wrote that finding love like Sarah’s parents “is too much to ask,” but she quickly replied that “with the right person you don’t have to ask, neither of my parents ever did,” alongside a cheerful face .

Sarah also wrote back in an upbeat comment saying she is “so incredibly blessed” and saying she “doesn’t go a day without thinking about it.”

When another follower said her husband needs to step it up, Sarah joked that her parents can call the man.

Despite the mostly sweet commentary, Sarah got into a heated argument with someone who warned her not to “expect this” because he believes her parents were “insanely lucky.”

She argued that she “expects this” and doesn’t want to “be loved less by anyone.” Sarah vowed to stay alone instead of settling down and that she would love herself enough before she found that special someone.

She went on to explain that her parents are “flawed,” but that doesn’t mean they’re “unworthy of love.”

Sarah passionately continued that the duo “took the time to find each other and worked every day to love each other better than the day before.”

Having a fruitful and decades-long marriage, like Sarah’s parents’, not only makes for a fulfilled life, but also a healthier one.

A scientific study has found that married people live longer and have better health, especially men, according to the Institute of Education at University College London.
