Woman’s adorable reaction to being proposed to by boyfriend sends viewers swooning: ‘You break her heart, we’re all coming after you’

A marriage proposal can be one of the most memorable and special moments of a person's life, with many soon-to-be fiancés doing everything they can to ensure it is as romantic as possible.

Although one groom-to-be chose to keep the gesture simple and popped the question by the sea, it's his girlfriend's testy reaction that has truly touched the hearts of thousands of people on TikTok.

An unnamed young man set up his camera to capture the all-important proposal when he visited an empty beach with his girlfriend in October, in a video shared by @looneymemes.

The man stood in front of the camera and extended his arms to his girlfriend, who smiled and looked into his eyes, seemingly nervously.

As the gentleman puts his hand in his pocket, the young woman becomes hysterical and gasps as she looks double over at her friend.

Unable to contain an outburst of joy and shock, the woman jumps around in a circular motion and dances on the spot while screaming, while her friend looks on laughing.

She then excitedly runs laps through the sand and makes a break for the sea, before returning to her partner.

The woman composes herself comically, assumes a more formal pose, and listens intently as her friend repeats the question.

The young woman throws her arms in the air and grins from ear to ear, nodding her head and wrapping herself around her now fiancé, who hugs her tightly.

More than 16,000 comments were left by viewers consumed with emotions after the sweet proposal, with many expressing a desire to experience a similar reaction from their spouse.

One wrote: 'I wish I knew love like that,' while another said: 'We all deserve this! Congratulations!!'

A fellow viewer jokingly warned the man in the images: 'You're breaking her heart, we're all coming after you. Priceless response.'

One inspired individual said, “If this isn't the energy, I won't even get down on my knee,” while another wrote, “Not a nice proposition. There are only two people in love together on a beach.'

A final moved commenter wrote: “The fact that she walked away and then came back and said, 'Okay, just ask…' made me very silent and then explode with excitement again.”

In April, a Sydney man faked the kidnapping of his girlfriend during a trip to Lebanon in a wild prank that has been called “the most controversial marriage proposal ever.”

Footage of Adam and Vanessa's surprise engagement was posted to TikTok by his sister Tahlia in early April, with the caption “how my brother decided to propose in Lebanon.”

In the video, Vanessa was seen happily drinking coffee in the backseat of a car near Anfeh, in the northwest of the country, with her aunt and sister.

Strangers wearing balaclavas then stopped the vehicle in the middle of the road, opened the doors while holding fake guns and dragged the screaming women from their seats.

Vanessa was visibly shaken and confused as she was taken hostage and driven to a mysterious location. She continued to try to remove her blindfold but was repeatedly ordered to stop.

When her blindfold was removed, live music started playing and her family members screamed with joy.

Vanessa burst into tears when she realized that Adam, her boyfriend of ten years, was standing in front of her with a large bouquet of flowers in hand.

Days later, Vanessa uploaded photos from the engagement to social media – with photos of her and Adam kissing and watching the sunset. She called it a “dream that came true.” There was no mention of the fake hostage situation.

Tahlia told Daily Mail Australia that Vanessa always wanted to propose in Lebanon and that she was “genuinely happy” with the engagement.
