Woman survives massive boiler explosion that reduced her flat to rubble as she prepared for holiday to Australia
A woman has miraculously survived a massive boiler explosion that ripped through her east London flat in the middle of the night.
The blast was so powerful it left a large gaping hole at the back of the property, leaving the five-bedroom flat in ruins.
Around three fire engines and 15 firefighters rushed to the property in Well Street Hall, Hackney, after reports of an explosion at around 2.30am this morning.
Paramedics found a woman inside preparing for a holiday to Australia, while two others were evacuated.
The woman was incredibly rescued from the rubble and taken to hospital for further treatment. She suffered from burns and shock, but her current condition is unknown.

The exact cause of the devastating explosion is still under investigation, but experts believe it was due to a boiler malfunction.
Dramatic footage shows a gaping hole at the front of the property, while windows, bricks, furniture and other debris lie on the grass outside.
The incident has shocked the local community and residents have been urged to be vigilant and report any signs of faults in their household appliances, especially heating systems.
A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade said: 'Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters were called to a collapsed building on Well Street in Hackney at 2.32am this morning.
'Firefighters attended a three-storey block of flats where an explosion, believed to be caused by a boiler, had caused damage to the front and rear of a first floor flat.

'One woman was rescued from the property by firefighters and suffered burns and shock. She was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service staff and taken to hospital.
'Two other residents were evacuated from the building.
“The incident was brought under control at 4:05 am.”
It comes less than a week after two people were rushed to hospital after a massive gas explosion destroyed a terraced house in Blackburn.
Shocking video showed the walls and roof of the house crumbling around a passerby.
The man was rushed to Royal Preston Hospital to receive treatment for injuries not believed to be life-threatening, Blackburn, along with Darwen Borough Council, said.
A second man was also taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with minor injuries.
