A hero ‘grandma’ shoved a pair of thugs off a rush hour Tube train after they tried to drag off a passenger and beat him on the platform.
The exasperated woman screamed at the two men ‘will you get off the train, off’ when they blocked the doors on the the Central line carriage at Tottenham Court Road station in the West End.
They had been trying to grab another passenger behind her and ‘smack him’.
Her intervention – which prompted one of the men to tell her to ‘shut up’ – came after the pair had been blocking the doors while threatening to ‘smack you up’ to the third man who had been involved in an altercation with them.
The Twitter user who filmed the clip said the row began when the man in the white T-shirt was staring at the third man – and the third man then asked if he was gay.
The thugs were trying to pull the third man off the train while the woman standing by the door tried to mind her own business as the doors began to close.
One of the two men then shouted at the third man: ‘Are you mad, don’t ever do that?’ and the second said to him: ‘Come off the train, I’m going to smack you up.’

And the woman was then forced to intervene, yelling at the two men and pushing them off as they stumbled back onto the platform and shouted ‘shut up’.
The video was posted on social media at about midday yesterday by Twitter user @Avz_xv, who said: ‘Grandma was not having it. I was too tired to laugh.’
Underneath the clip, @Avz_xv said that the man in the white T-shirt was staring at the third man – and the third man then ‘asked if he was gay and it escalated from there’.

One response to the video said: ‘He told the elderly woman to shut up and that’s why we have mad issues in the community. Respect is gone, joke man.’
The Twitter user who posted the clip replied to this comment, saying: ‘It’s true but I really don’t think she was bothered by the way she pushed them off.’
