Woman nearly killed by INSECTS in her airport vending machine coffee reveals she went BLIND shortly after spotting ‘little antennas and wings’ in her drink and doctors say she’s lucky to be alive

A woman who was left fighting for her life after drinking a bug-infested coffee she bought at a Mallorca airport has spoken out about the ordeal, revealing she went blind during the horror incident.
The 21-year-old airline worker had bought the hot drink from a vending machine at Son Sant Joan airport, located near the capital Palma, before noticing “little antennae and wings” in the cup halfway through drinking.
Speaking from a hospital bed to a respected Spanish news site Ultima Horathe woman said she remembered drinking her coffee normally, but just 10 minutes later she started feeling sick.
She noticed that the drink tasted strange and upon closer inspection she saw a swarm of winged insects crawling around the cup.

After running to the bathroom in shock, she revealed the terrifying moment she returned to her partner to tell them she couldn’t see anything.
Her condition continued to worsen until she went into anaphylactic shock, where her face and throat swelled so much that she struggled to breathe.
She was given adrenaline and other drugs by airport health services before losing consciousness and being rushed to a clinic in Palma.
“When I got to the intensive care unit, they told my friend, ‘Be thankful no body arrived,’” she said.
The woman, who spent 36 hours in ICU from Monday, was released yesterday after revealing: ‘I had a really bad time seeing myself alone, with all those tubes.’
She also said that the first thing she did when she saw the flies was Deli Corner, the coffee company.
“They told me to bring my cell phone and they would refund the 50 cents,” she said.
‘I did it in good faith that it wouldn’t happen to anyone else. I told them I didn’t want the money, I just wanted them to do something.”
Her family has now filed a complaint against the airport with the National Police, reports Ultima Hora.
They claim that the presence of insects in the coffee cup constitutes a possible crime against public health and reckless injury, the news site added.
The family added that the machine, which is now closed, was clearly poorly maintained by airport staff.
The woman explained that she plans to continue the complaint while she makes a full recovery, in an effort to prevent a recurrence of a situation similar to the one she experienced.
