A woman who was held captive and raped in a barn in Poland for more than four years by a man she met online was hospitalised and doused with cold water if she did not comply with his demands, it has emerged.

The 30-year-old victim, known only as Malgorzata, met Mateusz J in 2019 through a dating website and was reportedly held in an abandoned animal shed, where he was regularly abused, raped and mentally abused for four years.
