A woman driven from her Aurora, Colorado apartment by the Tren de Aragua gang blasted ABC News for minimizing the damage in an interview with J.D. Vance.
Cindy and Edward Romero left the apartment due to safety concerns after filming a shootout between gang members in late August.
Martha Raddatz lambasted Vance on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday, claiming it was “limited to a handful of apartment complexes” and was being addressed, leaving the vice presidential candidate furious.
Speak with Fox News digital On Tuesday, Romero was also outraged by the way she and her family portrayed the ordeal.
‘I feel like it’s a slap in the face. How Many Gangs Are Allowed in Aurora? How many properties can be taken over? How many people, who are citizens paying their bills, are allowed to move?”

In their apartment, the Romeros had an elaborate system of locks running from the top of the door to the bottom before they got fed up and fled.
Romero also had a problem with Raddatz’s framing of the issues, saying Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman and Gov. Jared Polis haven’t taken the issue seriously enough.
“I feel like the mayor and the governor and the [police] They are all downplaying the situation,” she said.
After a shootout at the apartment complex earlier this month, the Romeros’ car was riddled with bullets.
“I was pushed out of my apartment by gang activity, people carrying guns in the hallway and patrolling the grounds with guns.”
Romero — who spoke out Friday during Donald Trump’s visit to Colorado — says the media didn’t take her at face value or did their research and sidelined her.
“I’m a taxpayer, I pay my bills, I do what I have to do,” she added.
In the footage Romero posted, the alleged Venezuelan gang seized control of an apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado.

In the video that emerged on Wednesday, the heavily armed crowd with guns storms through the house. A man in a hoodie carries a high-powered rifle and pounds on a door in the building, while several others wield pistols.
Members of the gang run up the stairwell with weapons. In the background you can hear the men talking to each other in Spanish.
At the end of the video, the door opens and the gang members all walk into the apartment. It was not clear if anyone in the home was injured.
The images come as the migrant crisis has spiraled into chaos under “border czar” Kamala Harris. The Venezuelan Tren de Aragua mafia has gained a foothold across the country, including in Colorado.
Incidents of migrant-related crime have put the bleak situation at the border under increased scrutiny.
Under the Biden and Harris administration, illegal immigration to the US has skyrocketed to 8 million crossings.
In 2021, Harris, “the border czar,” was accused of stemming the flow of illegal immigration.

Republican presidential candidate, former President Donald Trump, arrives for a campaign rally at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, in Aurora, Colorado. Mugshots of TDA gang members were used as stage props
‘Operation Aurora’ will focus on Tren De Aragua. Trump made the new policy goal a reality while standing next to blown-up mugshots of several gang members apprehended by Aurora police.
Trump said Friday that Operation Aurora would act as a removal program for gang members, invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 “to target and dismantle any illegal criminal migrant network operating on U.S. soil.”
However, it is currently unclear how the plan would differ from current policies that allow the US to remove violent criminals.
The ex-president continued to blast the “migrant crime” enabled by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ immigration policies, which inspired his campaign’s creation of the plan.
