A woman has claimed a man was inappropriate with her at the gym, but when she shared footage of their interaction online, things went spectacularly wrong.
OnlyFans personality Violet Starr uploaded a clip of her interaction with the unnamed man to TikTok last week as an example of why some women feel uncomfortable exercising, but some viewers were reportedly not on her side.
“This is why I don’t go to public gyms anymore,” Starr wrote in white text over her video.
The 22-second video has been viewed more than 108,000 times since it was posted, but after an outcry, Starr was forced to turn off the comments.
The clip showed Starr walking into the gym before she was approached by an older-looking man who spoke with an accent and asked, “Excuse me, like, how are you a teacher?”
Starr told him she wasn’t a teacher, but he then explained why he thought she was a teacher at all.
“Because you’re so fit, beautifully fit, and you train so hard, I thought maybe you were a teacher or something,” he said with a smile.
“No, I don’t,” Starr said again.

In the video’s caption, she wrote, “That awkward gym moment that made me want to skip…until you walked in.”
DailyMail.com contacted Starr for comment.
Before turning off the comments, Starr wrote that “while the video interaction was relatively tame, she thought she would grab her phone and movie after more direct harassment from the men,” according to DailyDot.
According to a 2021 study by RunRepeat, 56.37 percent of female gym members have experienced harassment while exercising at the gym.
This number was 2.68 times more than that of the male gym members they surveyed.
However, Starr isn’t the only one who has filmed their awkward experience at the gym in recent months.
In 2023, some women took to TikTok to film themselves working out in an attempt to catch predatory men at the gym.

At the time, videos with the hashtag #GymCreep and #GymWeirdo – mostly uploaded by British and American users – had been viewed more than 100 million times on the platform.
That year, American influencer Gina went viral when she shared a clip of a “creepy” man standing near where she was lifting weights.
She wrote: ‘Watch this creep come to my personal bubble while doing it [dead-lifts].’
As she continues to lift her weights, the clip shows the anonymous older man taking a seat right behind Gina.
Gina said: ‘The gym was virtually empty and [there are] there are so many corners to sit in and he chose this one.”
She continued, “I sat in this corner for ten minutes before him and only had one set left.”
Determined not to let him interrupt her workout, Gina continued her squats in front of the mirror.
In the background, the man – who she accused of ogling her a few minutes earlier – can be seen moving a weight back and forth just behind her.
Explaining why she took out her camera, Gina added: “I started recording it, so now we’re all uncomfortable together.
‘He literally played to me [bum] for this.’
Additionally, Gina said she felt so threatened by the man’s behavior that she did not feel safe returning.
She added: ‘I’m never coming back to this gym again.’ Gina urged other women to stay vigilant and captioned the clip: “Be careful out there girls because wtf??”
